I wish he had a happy animation and a sad idle. Either way, the dino have got rave reviews on the small website I built with them at https://j-m-nichols.github.io/tyrones-tiles/
P.S. I renamed the green one to Tyrone Osaurus Rex
Nicely made! I like it a lot! The fact that you made it in Scratch makes it easy for me to mess around with it too and make changes, and on that note I think I have found a solution for you as well.
I recommend you try to use the costume “run_3” or “jump” instead of the idle sprite. You could make a couple changes to it if necessary, but I think that would improve the visuals immediately.
Additionally; I think you should make the hitbox collider look like this [image] instead, as it get’s you closer to the walls when sliding down. I also made it a little shorter so you can fit in between your platforms, but that is all up to taste.
I had fun playing and wish it was a little longer, actually. 😁👌
also if anyone is reading this i found a expansion pack for this (bassically new dino colors and some new animations. the creator gave credits to arks and for arks dinos he only added the new animations): Dino Family
lol forgot to give the link for my game i am going to send it
Edited: https://turtle-studios.itch.io/dino-the-game (it will say 404 page not found then just go to my profile and enter the game (the link is not complete itch.io didn’t read the -game as a part of the link)
Like I mentioned on the previous post I won’t be adding an additional animations in the foreseeable future. However, if you go a little further down in the comments I have described a method you can use to get a decent jumping animation from the sprites available. 😊
“What people usually do when make a jump animation is take one of the frames from the running animation. Particularly the one with the back leg is pointing downward and the front leg is pointing forward. If you freeze that frame until the peak of your jump and then switch to one of the next, you might get a pretty decent result.”
but i have a question: can you make textures for tiles, clouds, other (thats what around dino) in your style? I can't search same textures, like this dinos. thanks in advance!!
updated: i found textures like your, but anyway thanks!!
Hmm I am not sure how to answer you question. I am guessing it is because you are using a specific game engine, but I suggest you look up a tutorial about how to import textures into your engine of choice.
Im wonndering if you can make a jump animation, because i have in mind to make maybe a 2d platformer. But anyway your art is awesome respect for posting free
This is a really good question. However; sadly I won’t be changing anything to the sprite sheet in the foreseeable future. I might have a solution for you though:

I pretty much did what Arks said. Just took one of the run frames and moved his head up a little. To make it a little more apparent he's not grounded I added a fall animation where his legs are forward and he looks down. The tail wags a little.
Thanks for making such cute dino sprites available for free <3
Definitely kick started my mobile app development journey as it's been a massive help in helping me make my first game. Probably saved me weeks of time having to create sprites from scratch or look for sprites as cute and well-made as yours :D

what tool did you use for making this? (i need to know for my game's credits)
I think I used PaintDotNet initially. But I am pretty sure they’ve been through a bunch of other programs throughout its lifetime.
Ok. Thanks!

Nice, can you please make a slide and turn?
Sadly I don’t have the time to work on the Sprite sheet, so this is a good opportunity to dip your toes into sprinting 😁
Amazing, but can I use the "Dino" title too for my game?
Absolutely! I have no claim to the name.
Oh you mean the letters? Yeah, sure!

DID YOU CUT THEM OFF poor dinosaurs.
Thanks for making these characters! I just used one of the dinos in a game recently, at https://alzhu1.itch.io/eating-floating-fruits. I really like this pixel art, great stuff!
Thank you for this dino characters bro , I used it for my game https://riad-z.itch.io/flipping-over-it
Early in my pixel art journey I remember finding these sprites. They were fantasticly useful in helping me learn some pixel art basics.
Huge thanks for releasing this for free, I'm sure it has been a great resource for many including myself.
Cheers!
I’m gonna print this message to my wall. Thank you for the kind words. Might likewise motivate me to get back into it.
